Bright and early at the doctor's office!

So today was my first official Blood Work / Ultrasound! YAY!!! Finally!
I have to admit, it was a bit scary and I was slightly nervous since we have never gotten this far into the process. But nevertheless...there we were in Dr. L's office at 8:00 am.

When we got there, they took me in to have my blood drawn to check my hormone levels. I am not fond of getting my blood drawn...something which I have to quickly get over since I am anticipating become a human pin cushion over the next however many months..LOL!
A short time after that, they called me in for my ultrasound. Billy came in with me. Dr. L is on vacation so I saw Dr. B. She started the ultrasound...said the lining of my uterus is thin meaning my cycle was doing what it is supposed to be doing (this is like Chinese to me). She counted 16 small follicles (awesome!), then she said something interesting. She said that my ovaries didn't look as polycyctic as before, meaning my ultrasound back in 2010. She said they looked to be more on the normal side.

I am taking this all as good news.

THEN........they handed me 2 shopping bags filled with meds and sent me on my merry way. LOL! I am just waiting for my blood results so I know whether I am starting Follistim or birth control.

Let's keep our fingers crossed for Follistim.................
