Update....

Dr. L bumped my Follistim to 375 units for tonight and Saturday night. Sunday morning I take another 375 units of Follistim and start Ganirelix and 20 units LH...then again Monday morning before my next ultrasound!

Exciting stuff going on here...LOL!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have follicles!

32 of them to be exact! 18 in my left ovary and 14 in my right. 4 of them are growing nicely...1 at 12mm, 2 at 11mm and 1 at 9mm. He also said the lining of my uterus is thickening, which is a good sign. It means my body is responding to the medicine. I am waiting for my blood work to come back and they will tell me if we are bumping up the Follistim from 250 units to 300 units. And I will find out if I can start my Ganirelix and LH on Sunday. He thinks it's possible to extract by the end of next week. We will know more when I go back on Monday.

My cheering section...!!

I posted the picture of my hug from Billy before I went to bed.
This morning on our way to Dr. L's office, my alert comes up on my phone and I find this message from his friend Mike who he works with -

And yes, I did cry. XOXO

Follistim Injection Night 4

Last night was a 2 shot night only because there was not enough medication in the vial so I had to do the shot twice...once with 150 units and again with a new vial for 100 units. OUCH!

Follistim Injection Night 3

Still uneventful...and Billy is still giving me my shots. I just can't do it and these are teeny tiny needles. I can't even imagine what it's going to be like when we have to start with the "big boys"...LOL!

Anyway...tomorrow is my next round of blood work and my ultrasound. I also get to see Dr. L which I am happy about because when we were there on Monday, he wasn't in. I just feel better seeing him since he knows me better and knows my history.

Hello again!

Injection prep...I am good at that.

Ginger supervised. Actually, I think she was waiting to get fed..LOL!

I love-ed you...

Billy and I were standing in the pasta aisle of BJ's. He looked at me, put his arm out and pulled me closer to him and just held me, kissing my forehead.

Now, you have to really know Billy to understand why that is so sweet. Billy is hard to explain. He has the same face for every emotion...happy, sad, angry...you name it. We once bought him a shirt that had like 12 pictures of Darth Vader and across the top it said - The Faces of Vader. Under each picture was - Sad...Happy...Surprised....all the same picture. LOL! Totally Billy. But, Billy has a very soft side when it comes to me. He is the guy who doesn't dance but will put on an entire performance in the kitchen to "Take it Off" by Ke$ha just to keep me from crying when I had a horrible day at work. He is the guy that will drive around aimlessly at midnight even though he has to be up for work at 5 am because he knows I love our rides together. He is the guy that will get up with the baby at 2 am because he knows I am exhausted. He is "that guy".

The title of this post may not make sense to anyone but Billy and I. "I love-ed you" is something silly we say to each other when we really want the other person to know that we love them extra. I am not sure how it started. And it isn't pronounced loved...it's love-ED. Again...lol...don't ask!

He gives me something to smile about everyday...when I am not beyond pissed off at him. He has helped me through all of the hard times...when I'm not aggravating the shit out of him. Everyday is a new adventure with him...when we are actually talking to each other. LOL..no matter what life throws at us, I know that he will be right by my side, holding my hand the entire time...and I love him more than anything for that. Now, I have always known this, but for some reason, at this very moment in our lives, it is even more true.

This past December, we celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. I think our relationship is best summed up by what I posted in facebook - 9 years ago, I said yes when this guy from NJ asked me out on a date. 7 years ago, I said yes when he got down on 1 knee, drunk, and asked me to marry him. 6 years ago, I said yes when I walked down the aisle and became his wife. And even though it hasn't been easy, there is nobody in the world who I would want walking beside me on this journey. There have always been ups but we have had a good share of downs....and he has held my hand or wiped my tears through them all. I love-ed you!

I love-ed you babe.....

Follistim Injection Night 2

I am not sure I am supposed to feel any different because I don't..lol! I am a little bloated so I am at work sitting at my desk with my jeans unbuttoned (good thing I work with family). When I got home last night, I took some Tylenol to help with my headache. I do have really light cramps..but nothing to write home about. My next doctor's visit is Friday..more blood work and an ultrasound.

Oh..some good news....they found my hCG. It was at Dr. L's office and nobody told me that they keep it. I remember at our IVF class, the nurse told us that we bring it with us when we go so that they can mix it, blah blah. I just wish someone would have told us when we picked out our meds on Monday, that they were going to keep it there. It would have saved me having a mini heart attack and some phone calls to the pharmacy. Not to mention Billy and I going through all of the meds 3 times. Oh well...they have it and that's all that matters I guess.

Getting the pen ready...

Prepping my needle...like a pro!

See the smirk? I told you he secretly liked this..lol!
